Interview with Mr.Takanori Fukuda Part3

d0255328_11594687.jpg

From Part2

NM: Thank you so much. After becoming free of pain, I continue to ask questions. I’m interested in your daily life. How do you usually spend a day?

TF: I like walking in mountains. So I live near mountains now. Since Cayce advises to bring up our children in nature, we moved when our kid was born. I’m a Cayce specialist at any rate.

NM: I’m interested in your daily life from waking up, as a model of Cayce specialist.

TF: I’m so happy to hear that. So, listen. I wake up in the morning. The beginning of the day is “I’m wonderful Takanori Fukuda, living in a wonderful world. How happy I am!” Did you see that I fully express joy now?

NM: Yes, I did.

TF: I also do it when going to bed. “I’m wonderful Takanori Fukuda, living in a wonderful world.” Look carefully. “How happy I am!” (Mr. Fukuda fully expresses joy raising his both hands and twisting his body.) Did you watch it? Though people don’t carefully look, did you notice that every part of my body was absolutely delighted?

NM: It is like all of your cells are fully delighted.

TF: Yes, it is. I express using my whole body, “I’m wonderful Takanori Fukuda!” This is clarifying our “ideal” that Cayce says.

Besides, I never do what goes against my ideal self every day. Take a look; I don’t get my elbow up even when having some tea. Also, I don’t reach for something there. I never put my elbow up for anything, and always move using my pelvis.

NM: Oh, I always reach for something.

TF: That’s why your shoulders are stiff. Attach an elbow on your body like this.

NM: It’s better to move using our entire bodies.

TF: It doesn’t strain your shoulders, doesn’t it? When doing something, I always use the center of my body. When taking stuff there, I use the center of my body and don’t put an elbow up. That’s why I don’t have any shoulder stiffness no matter how many hours to drive a car, or to use a PC.

NM: It is small difference between making a long arm and moving there.

TF: Making a long arm results in shoulder stiffness. It is a pain, isn’t it? I do nothing unpleasant. If wondering, “something bad is happening today”, you’ve chosen a bad life on that day. All of your life is your choices and experiences. So when waking up, I express thoroughly joy at any rate and say, “I’m wonderful Takanori Fukuda, living in a wonderful world.” People choosing something bad occurs, in fact they are having amazing experiences of finding bad news chosen by themselves.

Even I wrote these kind of things again and again, never be satisfied. I have a lot of things to give, so always encourage people visiting my clinic to take whatever they want to. But it is also important. People who give a lot of good things are those who also receive a lot of good things. This is a spiritual rule. So I wake up and express “I’m a wonderful existence, so give a lot of good things”, and walk in mountains for celebration.

According to Cayce’s advice, I have the breakfast of either citrus fruits or brown rice. Because I’m old and don’t eat much, usually have some citrus fruits. Then I come to my clinic.

I’ve already received some calls here today. There are many counseling on the phone. So that means that I receive life counseling for strangers on the phone. That’s why I can quickly recognize how is the conditions of your body and mind, for example.

Well, you adhere pretty much to your decision. You get easily angered, but believe that you should contain your temper. Or it’s better to say that you make a choice to do so. Cayce said 100 years ago that anger is important, you know. The repression of anger and stress causes rheumatism and arthritis. I can say all of their causes are that. Its solution is already clear. One of them is giving our full attention to the jobs and the roles chosen by ourselves. But Cayce also says that humans sometimes need to get angry.

I easily take offense so much. I become sweaty when being angry and also now. So I can’t wear a shirt under my white coat. I know it’s better to get angry, so I don’t hesitate to do so. But my wife, stuff and patients have never seen my affronted look. Everyone says that I never be upset. What? I stay angry all day long. Because anger has such a great power, people who don’t get angry have a disadvantage. So I recommend you to work with anger.

However, you can’t turn your anger on others. When you want to do so, try this. As I explained before, see yourself objectively while smelling the fragrance of your anger. Then you can feel how your anger is, and see what it is like. What I try to say is feeling the sense of unity. Enjoy the feeling of unity with your anger. Joy and anger are the opposite sides to the same coin. Because anger has such a great power, I always let myself be angry. So I can stay young except for my hair.

Finding that I’m short-tempered in my middle teens, I never do kinds of games. When playing Japanese chess or something, I was so fired up. That’s why I don’t watch sports. My wife doesn’t watch the Olympic either and our TV is silent even then. So athletes know well how to express their anger as the driving power. Ichiro acts like this every time of being up at bat. He is angry then like this, “I’ll crush the ball, for chrissake.” Who is Ichiro mad at? At neither the pitcher nor the opposing team. But he still feels and expresses his anger. Chubby sumo wrestlers also give fierce look in the match. All of those are the expression of their anger. I’m sometimes asked whom I am mad at, but can’t answer. I just see my anger objectively. People who take easily offense have all the advantages. So I don’t feel stressed at all.

However, releasing your anger on others, it is boomeranging back to you because people around the world are the same one consciousness and life. In short, we aren’t actually offended at others but at ourselves. But we can become so powerful after feeling anger inside. That’s why anger is wonderful.

As we talked about those kind of things, your shoulders have soften, haven’t they? Now you can understand that symptoms will ease up at my clinic. Once understanding it, people don’t have to come here. I spend a day like that and go home. In my neighborhood I walk in mountains for celebration. Whether celebrating God, others, or ourselves we can have exactly the same experience of celebration. That’s the life.

NM: Do you have a heap of salad for lunch as Cayce encourages?

TF: I will show you my lunch. I’m busy today and haven’t had it yet. I’m a specialist of Cayce, so this is the vegetable that he recommends. The name is mullein.

NM: And this is fleawort.

TF: I always pick some fleawort in mountains. Read the paragraph of mullein and fleawort in “Healing Arts Changing Your Life”. You can figure out I’m practicing it and still fine at 80 years old. Now you see my point.

I also have cabbages. Cayce advises to eat dark green leaves that doesn’t curl but open up. So we pick and eat cabbage leaves from outside before harvesting. Then the form of cabbage changes like this. People always ask what it is, and I answer every time.

NM: I saw this kind of cabbage form for the first time.

TF: I’m a complete specialist of Cayce.

NM: What do you have for dinner?

TF: Steamed vegetable for dinner. It’s up to date in Japan. In this season my wife steams three bunches of Japanese mustard spinach for me. I make it a rule not to eat big fish, so also have some dried whitebait and put mayo on because I love mayonnaise. And brown rice and clear soup. Of course I’ve gotten some gelatin for several decades as Cayce recommends. Gelatin is a must-eat item. This is my wonderful daily schedule.

NM: Can I ask you about your family a little bit? Do you discuss Cayce or lives with your son?

TF: I don’t talk about Cayce with him. It‘s all right for my son to live his own life. My theory is just saying to him, “turn to me when you’re in trouble.” Children of today are not only fed, clothed and housed, but also filled with entertainment. So they don’t have to worry, and be completely fulfilled. But when people are completely fulfilled, in fact not fulfilled at all. Because they don’t have any experiences not to be satisfied, also can’t realize whether being satisfied or not.

Japanese society is calm and stable compared with other countries. So young people don’t know they are really happy and rich. Most of my generation didn’t have enough foods and struggled so much to survive. It was so severe experience. That’s why I really appreciate to have enough foods.

NM: The last question I’d like to ask you what kind of feeling or hope do you have for Japanese people?

TF: I don’t request anything for whole Japanese, but have my own dream. I appeal to people to give back the Earth’s surface to other living creatures. For the purpose of that, humans don’t have to live deep underground thanks to the advance of science. People can live on greenery rooftops, develop the equipment offering beautiful scenery, and enjoy sunlight using the reflection of mirrors.

I’m curing people around the world staying here including mental problem. I sometimes receive US dollars. After curing unknown American man, he sent it to me. Being familiar with seeing ourselves objectively, anyone can become therapists. Once trying oil massages and caster oil packs, you can cure anyone else. Until shortly before death, humans can feel how the fact is and activate bodies and souls of the people all over the world. Yes, it is true.

If you have no experience feeling anxious, also can’t feel peace and easy. If you can’t feel sorrow, also can’t experience real joy. So I recommend you to feel all kinds of feelings.

In addition, you’d better realize what you’re actually doing at early stage in preparation for the second half of your life. In other words, don’t accuse, criticize or deny people including yourself.

I recently saw a tall mother on the street yelling and pulling her kid. She shouted, “Why did you do this?” This is also accusing, criticizing or denying. Since I was oldest of eight brothers and sisters, I know well that kids will do something wrong. Mothers should say, “It’s all right. I’m always on your side. You are a wonderful existence the way you are. Do well at nursery school. I’ll wait for you preparing nice dinner.”

You know Cayce’s way of manifestation. Parents said to their bed-wetting son before he goes to bed, “you are a brilliant existence, and becoming a leader when you grow up.” From that night his bed-wetting had completely cured. We should do that for all the children.

The mother whose son has stayed in his room for 13 years should enjoy caster oil pack and oil massage for herself and just express, “My life is so brilliant! So as my son.” Her son absolutely emerges from his room accordingly. My son also gripped his mother’s skirt and kept hold it when entering a nursery school. So I said according to Cayce’s way of manifestation, “My son is brilliant. He will be a person leading many people when growing up. Thank goodness.” As it turned out that my son said loudly from next morning to his teacher 10m away from him, “Good morning, teacher!”

You can do anything Cayce says, because it is all right. Thanks to continuing Cayce’s way of manifestation, I don’t mind so much about my son’s way of living. That’s why I don’t talk about Cayce with my son. I just continue to say my son is brilliant without a waver.

The same holds true for the future of Japan and the world. Ill news comes unsent for, but we have also plenty of good ones actually. In my opinion money economy is becoming stuck soon, though. In the near future all of us will understand that we can cooperate each other to live beyond the difference of origins, races or countries. When a country suffers from the shortage of foods, another makes an offer to give its surplus. Some maritime companies undertake to ship foods on their way, and other volunteers carry them to the port or something like that.

Moreover, the age of barter exchange is coming soon. In the case someone is given something, they don’t have to give back or pay. Only the records such as giving and receiving retain. When some say we’re hard up for something, others having surplus just send it. I think the world like this is coming before long. Yes, it’s true. For such occasions, we’re going to being connected by an extensive network. In that world, people worldwide share all the information of each person. Since the entire world is actually myself, collaboration and cooperation should be humans’ living experience. I hope that kind of things.

Based on this wisdom, therapies are also so easy. When someone says, “I have a stomach trouble", another offers, “I’ll apply caster oil pack on my own”. After I put caster oil pack here, 10 or 20 people on the other side of the world become well. You’d better believe it. See, all of us are living the same unitary self together.

Interview with Mr.Takanori Fukuda Part2

d0255328_1155678.jpg

From Part1

NM: When have you started Reading Health Group?

TF: Since 1987. It was Mr. Yasuda that paid attention to my Cayce’s healing arts and established Reading Health Group. Because having leverage, he quickly started up that group and set up a lot of lectures everywhere.

It was in 1991 that Mr. Kataoka in Nagoya started up Edgar Cayce Health Group. I have been helped a lot from many people. Their start-ups were like only yesterday, but actually we have had more than 200 lectures for two decades.

NM: It was the ARE tour in 1992 when I met you for the first time. You were single back then and both of us are small in stature, so some of the tour members recommended me to have the marriage meeting with you.

TF: Somehow I sensed it. By the way, have you been influenced by your brother (Shigeru MITSUDA, the president of Edgar Cayce Center Japan) to be familiar with Cayce?

NM: Yes, I have. I had known Cayce since being junior high school kid, but have got deeply involved since the ARE tour in 1992.

Well, we looked back on your life briefly. What was the most appeal of Cayce that seized hold of your heart when working hard at Seicho-no-Ie?

TF: I thought that this is what humans are. Because having studied at Seicho-no-Ie for years, I was receptive by then. Despite many spiritual interpretations of the world were chaotic, Cayce’s story all makes sense. So it’s no mistake that this is true. In addition to that, Cayce’s healing arts are amazingly effective.

Holding caster oil packs up as an example, it is absolutely good for kidney inflammation and liver inflammation. Also, most of gallstones can be removed. I’m not sure that gallstones are whether removed or dissolved, though. I am so convinced with its effect anyway. Besides, caster oil packs are helpful for patients with mental disorder. It goes without saying that it is also good for mental disorder; patients are unlikely to do that on their own. They need to be supported with helpers. After applying packs together with helpers, patients will recover.

NM: It doesn’t mean that helpers force patients to put caster oil packs. How do helpers place packs on patients?

TF: Helpers put packs on their own bodies first. After that, helpers share patients how a pack is so wonderful and helpful for health. For example, I advise a mother, who wants to apply a pack to her daughter, to do it by herself first. And then, mother recommends her daughter that it is so good and let’s do it together. So her daughter tries a pack, and as result she will recover and return to her normal life.

Plus, a patient who was going to get gallstones taken out in an operation continued a pack for ten days and gallstones disappeared. I myself also had suffered from kidney stones since my teens. White stones were hitting in the toilet with crackling noise. When relieving myself on the ground, I tried not to be scattered about when young. It was so dramatic when my severe gallstones disappeared. Since gallstones staying for many years, some cells in my kidneys were not decayed but dead, that is called erosion. But all of my gallstones were removed in the bathroom of my patient’s home. They were so huge amount and could not be flushed easily. From that time, I’ve been fine for more than 30 years and forget about my kidneys.

NM: Oh, I didn’t know that you were also helped by Cayce’s healing art. When you started your clinic, I guess most of the people had no idea about Cayce and were reluctant to get oil massages and put packs. How did you explain about Cayce to your patients back then?

TF: Same as now. I am a big fan of Edgar Cayce, and he recommended caster oil packs. He also advised oil massages to the patients with each and every symptom. Packs and oil massages are so powerful hygiene. You can use some oil in the kitchen, and things like that. I wonder that many people are impressed to become fine after applying caster oil packs; they also become Cayce fans.

NM: Have the effects of Cayce’s healing arts spread gradually through word of mouth?

TF: Yes, they have.

NM: When I started Cayce’s healing arts 25 years ago, nobody around me massage their bodies using oil.

TF: I know what you are saying. Although Cayce’s readings advise to heat up our bodies and rooms for about 30 minutes before oil massages, actually we don’t need that. Have you ever got a massage at ARE headquarter in the US, Naoko?

NM: Yes, I have.

TF: They massage with long strokes taking time, but Cayce says that massages should be given along the line of backbone. Massages given at ARE is slightly different from Cayce’s. It is enough to massage along the line of backbone and affected areas. It takes 20-30 minutes or so for unskilled persons to massage, but skilled can finish only for several minutes.

I demonstrated my massage skill in a lecture also yesterday. Since I am “the specialist of consciousness”, my demonstration is the method to clarify our objectives, and to vitalize the vibration and the rhythm of love those are full to the brim in this universe. I’m not trying to cure patients themselves, but making sure where their affected areas are, and focusing to vitalize the vibration of love. For the purpose of curing patients’ stiff neck, foot, stomach, or thoracic spine, I can give a massage to another person. As it turns out that patients will recover.

The same can be said for castor oil packs. For example, a mother said, “My son has stayed only in his room for a dozen years or so.” “How old is your son?” “43 years old.” In this kind of case, I apply a caster oil pack and give a massage to the mother. In consequence, her son will recover and come out of his room. After a while, the mother will call me and say like this, “He began to work at an office.”

It would be a waste not to make use of Cayce’s spiritual advice such as vitalizing the vibration of love, you know. That’s what I want to say. I recently write about this again and again on the web for the information of the sick worldwide.

I stay here and cure the people all over the world. Although I repeatedly say and write so, people stay away from me saying such a strange thing. Even when someone recovers before their faces, people just think that it is what only I can do. Actually it isn’t true and everyone can do it.

Can I examine your body with my hand? The left side of your neck is a little stiff. So, I will have some tea. (Mr. Fukuda moves into action to have some tea.) How is your neck? All the stiffness hasn’t been removed, but you may feel your shoulder has become soft a little.

NM: I feel the right side of my neck is still stiff.

TF: Yes, the purpose was the left side of the neck, so only that side was vitalized. I just saw myself having some tea in my true light. When anyone and everyone calmly see themselves as large as life, they can vitalize the purposed sites of purposed persons. Now look here, clarify what your purpose is, and try to see objectively how the space one meter ahead of your face is. At the moment you stop thinking and just see yourself in your true colors, the vibration of purposed persons, purposed sites, or purposed events start to be vitalized. Your stiffness has now eased. Don’t you feel so? Oh, your neck got so softened.

NM: Oh, yes. Thank you so much.

TF: That kind of stuff. What is important is making a choice clearly to cure my sick self. I’m a Buddhist, but read a Bible and found it out that Jesus is a master of healing. He cured people so quickly. Although his ways of healing were slightly different of each in Gospel of Matthew, Luke and John, Cayce summed up in three questions. Are there any other sites you want to be treated?

NM: Because wearing braces, I also have stiff shoulders.

TF: Oh, I see. Your neck got stiff again. Particularly the left side is stiffer than right. Next, you say like this, “The left side of my neck is stiff. The left side of third cervical spine is stiff.” Now your purpose is clarified. The knack of healing is as follows: repeat next three questions, see how you feel, and answer “yes!” from the bottom of your heart.

The first question is “do you make a choice to work animatedly?” While asking this question, you just feel so. You felt so, didn’t you? The second question is “do you believe that love will work?”

NM: Yes, I believe that love will work.

TF: Yes, you felt so. The third is “do you let love work among people through yourself?”

NM: I let love work among people through myself.

TF: See, your neck got softened again. Because the vibration of love is vitalized, here, your stiffness is completely removed.

NM: (Loud laugh) Thank you so much!

TF: This is what I want to tell. You just make a choice to “cure” or “heal“, repeat three questions, and feel yourself in your true colors. It is absolutely true. All you have to do is asking the vibration of love to work for your purpose, and feeling yourself as it is.

NM: Feel myself as it is…I haven’t been convinced it yet, but going to practice from now. At any rate, it is so great that you are so fine at almost 80 years, and still providing care. What is the driving force behind your long years’ practice of Cayce’s readings from your teens upward?

TF: I have survived in all of prewar, wartime and postwar periods. Frankly, it has been so hard. When I was in trouble, Cayce said that humans are so wonderful beings and incarnations of love. When practicing Cayce’s readings, I clearly experience what he said. Oh, it’s great, or that kind of thing.

NM: I understand that Cayce’s spiritual side attracts you rather than treatments.

TF: Yes, it does. This present self, who sees objectively how I feel, is the vibration of love. Don’t you try this, Naoko? There is some essence of the herb named winter green inside of this container. This is a good tool to practice to see yourself from the third person. Cover the mouth of the container with your hands, and smell it through your nose and mouth.

NM: Oh, this is the smell of doctors. I’m going to choke on.

TF: Because some alcohol is included. Now, you just smelled winter green and alcohol. As I said before, see yourself from the third person next. In other words, meditate how you feel that smell. You don’t have to care the fragrance of winter green. At the moment that you see objectively how you smell, your treatment is over. Then, I will remove your other pain. You have some pain on your right arm.

Try to see yourself from the third person as I said. You don’t have to care the fragrance of winter green. How is it? You never choke on this time. What people of the world are doing is accusing something, like he or other persons are bad, something is wrong, my life or the world is the problem. It is so harsh because they just see the phenomena. But trying to see your harsh feeling from an outsider’s perspective, you can see that this also is the part of your wonderful life. Sadness and happiness are the opposite sides to the same coin. If you don’t have sad experiences, can’t understand what happiness is. Some time ago I experienced despair, but despair and hope are the opposite sides to the same coin. It is the same whether to experience despair or hope in the long run. That’s all. Here, you become painless, don’t you?

NM: Mr. Fukuda, you must be a wizard!

TF: Everyone says so. But I’m not a wizard, but a consciousness user. Also, the user of love vibration. Moreover, all of you can be the users of love vibration. You can try.

Interview with Mr.Takanori Fukuda

d0255328_11435314.jpg

Takanori FUKUDA, born in January 1934 in Kochi, began to interact with Mr. Rin JUBISHI’s group around 1960 and issue some Edgar Cayce-related books. After being independent, he learned therapy at International Acupuncture and Moxibustion Vocational School. He has presently regular lectures at his own “Fukuda Takanori Clinic” in Takadanobaba, Tokyo and at “Edgar Cayce Health Group” in Nagoya, being active to make use of Cayce’s readings to our real lives.

Naoko MITSUDA(NM): We have known each other for 20 years, since joining the tour to Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment (ARE) in Virginia Beach organized by Tama Publishing in 1992. During the preparation of this interview, however, I noticed that I know nothing about your personal history. And so, could you tell me first about your childhood and the encounter with Cayce?

Takanori FUKUDA(TF): I’m going to introduce my age first. I’m becoming 80 years old soon, born in 1934. Second World War was over when being in my 6th grade. “The Miracle Person”, the first Cayce book in Japan, was published in 1959 when I was 25.

Actually, the first introduction of Cayce was older than that book. Mr. Masaharu TANIGUCHI, the founder of Seicho-no-Ie (one of the well-known Japanese religious groups), issued many translations of religious books. His best-known translation is 20 volume of “Reality of Life”, and after that the series of “Truth” were issued including “Cayce’s Prophecy.”

Seicho-no-Ie

Before encountering “Cayce’s Prophecy”, the end of Second World War was in my 6th grade and many soldiers came back to my high school. So I had many older classmates, and 3 or 4 year older Mr. Hattori was one of them. He was what was now called a nerd of spiritual world, fasting with no food and performing cold-water ablutions by a fall.

NM: Was Mr. Hattori also an ex-soldier?

TF: Yes, he was. But we had nothing to do right after the war, and had no vision for Japan’s future. Since we had similar student number in our class, always being together with cleaning, other turns of duty and our way to and from school. That’s why we talked so many things. Because we couldn’t see our future and didn’t know what to do in those days, he and I exchanged our life philosophy so passionately. I don’t think high school kids of today discuss their life philosophy, but we did at the time because nobody could see the future.

After I came to Tokyo to work in a factory, he passed Hosei University and also moved up to Tokyo. Though being a minor, I drank every night like many people from Kochi. While drinking, we discussed what humans are, how the world would be, and what human lives are. In those days I was a materialist and believed that the world must be the concatenation of random chances. I was always a winner of the discussion.

NM: Really? Did you use to be a materialist?

TF: Yes, I did. I knew nothing about previous lives or so. On the other hand, Mr. Hattori was a spiritualist. He knew anything about spiritualism, such as the existence of previous lives. More importantly, one day he said drunkenly “humans can do nothing without will power. I saw the light from this word, and then started to visit religious groups from one to the next.

I used to live in Oyamadai, Setagaya back then and could see a catholic church on the top of the mountain in Denen-chofu. I opened loudly its big door and shouted, “Mr. preacher, I want to join here.” Then he began to say, “I’m not a preacher, but a priest.” And also told that I had to abandon your parents, children and even name in order to join here. I couldn’t do it and finally found Seicho-no-Ie. Although I planed on belonging to Seicho-no-Ie in my whole life, encountered “Cayce’s Prophecy” there and be impressed that this was what I looked for.

NM: How many pages did that “Cayce’s Prophecy” have? The whole book wasn’t about Cayce, was it?

TF: There were 10 or less series of books entitled “Truth”, and “Cayce’s Prophecy” was only a small part of its “Spiritual World” chapter. In addition to Cayce’s readings, it had the sentences about human’s afterworld. It was the first introduction of Cayce’s readings to Japan.

NM: It was Seicho-no-Ie to introduce Cayce’s readings to Japan for the first time. And young Fukuda there were caught up in them…

TF: Yes, so much. I was overwhelmingly attracted. I always became the top of any groups. In other word, anyone said “ if you don’t know Fukuda, aren’t the member here.” I was so active at Seicho-no-Ie as being said so. But I left there after reading “Cayce’s Prophecy.” After that I met Mr. Jubishi.

Despite I didn’t know Mr. Jubishi also belonged to Seicho-no-Ie, found the book titled “AZ” at one of used bookstores in Kanda. It was issued by AZ Company founded by him, and I visited there straight away to see the person introducing Cayce.

Though I was responsible as a technical staff at a big company then, decided to quit that job and asked Mr. Jubishi to work at AZ Company. It was the time when “The Miracle Person” was published from Kasumigaseki Shobo. Cayce’s “The Window Has Opened”, the first print of “The Secret of Reincarnation” from Tama Publishing, was also published from Info co. in 1961(the original English title is “Many Mansions”). The publication of Cayce’s books was concentrated around that time.

Being familiar with Cayce back then, I had started Cayce-related activities when his books were published. Along with Mr. Jubishi, I was the Japan’s first activist of Cayce. Mr. Jubishi had already introduced Cayce, and went to the US at the time.

And now, have you ever met Mr. Jubishi, Naoko?

NM: Yes, I have. I went Nara to meet him in Nara several years before he passed away. Since Mr. Jubishi was a legend for me, I mistakenly assumed he had passed away a long time ago. Right after learning that he was alive, I visited him. I heard that his life caused troubles and upheavals, but the rest of his life looked so calm. Though he quit the work of translation due to bad eyes, I remember that there was a bulky English dictionary.

When you met Mr. Jubishi, what kind of activities did he do specifically?

TF: He earnestly tried to spread Cayce in Japan such as translating Cayce-related books. This is just an aside, but Mr. Jubishi was also eager to spread Saibaba and translated some books. Saibaba consequently began to be known in Japan.

NM: Mr. Jubishi had a keen sense. He also belonged to Subud, didn’t he?

TF: I used to be enthusiastic for Subud, too. Anyone there said “ if you don’t know Fukuda, aren’t the member here.” It was in my youth, so I was the head of youth group. When Gina Cerminara, the author of “Many Mansions”, came over to Japan in 1962, I always stayed with her to help.

NM: I have seen her photo along with Mr. Akihiro MIWA (Japanese popular singer and actor).
d0255328_11515714.jpg

TF: It was the photo of her second visit. Mr. Nirasawa, the president of Tama Publishing, took care of her then.

Mr. Jubishi and Info co. invited Gina to Japan for the first time. Mr. Hamazaki, the president of Info co., was also knuckling down to bring out the information of spiritual world. He asked a certain translator to translate “Many Mansions” to Japanese.

NM: I recall that Ms. Ei Taga, the translator of “Many Mansions”, passed away soon after the book was published. Around 1961, you were about 27 years old. How many peers did you have to talk about Cayce in those days?

TF: I remember approximately 10 people, mainly in several religious groups such as Subud, and a meditation group organized by Mr. Jubishi. When I went to Kyoto to guide Gina, other 10 people gathered at night. They probably read newsletters of Seicho-no-Ie and got interested in Cayce.

Because I had strong connections to Seicho-no-Ie, Gina had a large-scaled lecture meeting at a huge hall there. She delightedly had a speech about reincarnation.

NM: How was the response of the audience?

TF: Gina was bombarded with questions from crowds one after another.

At first, I tried to publish the books of Cayce on my own. So I wrote to Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce, the President of ARE of the day, and declared that I would campaign for Cayce in Japan. But he responded me to tell, “you are still young, so please learn more.” For this reason, I learned more and more about Cayce. And then I contacted with Mr. Uritani, the President of Tama Publishing at the time. He already knew that I was so much committed to Cayce, and planed my lecture. He and his wife listened to that and suggested me to write a book. It is the book titled “Healing Arts Changing Your Life” in 1984.

NM: Oh, you jumped straight to 1984. What were you doing in 1970’s?

TF: I was going ham at Subud in 1970’s, and so as Mr. Jubishi. I quit AZ Company then and was busy for auto-related job. But I wanted to focus on Cayce, left Subud after all. Actually, there are many other things that I used to do my utmost but eventually quit.

NM: You found your way to Cayce as a final standard.

TF: Yes, I did. What are humans and how to live had been my questions since I was a high school kid, and kept pursing in a constant way. I left Seicho-no-Ie after encountering Cayce, met Mr. Jubishi and quit his company. I also had the experience running away from home twice, so like to flit around.

On top of that, when being consulted on many matters at lectures and others, I witnessed that castor oil pack cured various illness.

NM: You have already started up your clinic at that day.

TF: I enrolled in a healing school when I was 39. Because I don’t have any academic qualification, a school of acupuncture and moxibustion was that I could only enter. It took two years to get a certificate. Nine years later from then, “Healing Arts Changing Your Life” was published. This book became a hit. Employees of Tama publishing sometimes visit my clinic even now to say “I wanted to meet the author of the book.”

NM: It is still sold pretty many. Our company also recommends the most as an introductory book.

TF: As readers know, I wrote that book not focusing on physical things, but highlighting spirituality. It is my way of life that there is caster oil pack, oil massages and diet treatments in spirituality.

NM: What was your turning point to get a certificate and to make a living as a therapist?

TF: There is a bit of a story. I really like writing and wrote a great deal about Cayce, but had no prospect for publication. In those days I haven’t met Mr. Uritani yet, and recognized that it is hard-pressed for money to publish a book. One day, I went skiing with my friends to deep in the mountains. We had nothing there but several feet of snow. I deeply reflected, and the realization came to me. Cayce’s readings tell healing arts a lot. I only looked “what humans are” before that, and hadn’t done searches in that field at all.

NM: It means that you hadn’t been interested in medical readings before that, doesn’t it?

TF: Yes, it does. But I realized it at that moment. It darkened early in the ski area back then. I didn’t have anything to do until morning. During taking a bath, I smacked my knee. But I didn’t know how to get a certificate, made a call to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of today after coming back home. He said that I didn’t have any academic qualification; there were only two schools that I could enter. One was in Tokyo, and another was in Kagoshima. I flied to Kagoshima right away, but that school hadn’t decided whether recruiting beginning students or not. Therefore, I didn’t have other choices and entered a school in Tokyo. Two years later when finished school, I soon started Cayce’s healing arts for real. I had been doing all about Cayce before that, so only focused on Cayce’s from the beginning.
